Just got home to sight the following films waiting:Bram Stoker's DraculaHalloweenDay Of The DeadDawn Of The DeadEvil Dead IIKing Of New YorkMasters Of Horror - Season 1 - Volume 1Masters Of Horror - toughen 1 - Volume 2
PQ - 3/5AQ - 3.5/5Special Features - 4/5Overall - 3.5/5Comments: I have seen this enter many times and it has always been a favorite of exploit so you can imagine I was very excited to see it sitting on my lie porch when I arrived domiciliate from bring home the bacon yesterday. When comparing this assign to its DVD counterpart there is no doubt this assign is an improvement in both PQ and AQ. In-terms of PQ this new assign is a bit inconsistent. At times the image is as sharp as a razor and at other times the image is quite soft. This enter also has a bit of grain but I conclude this adds to the call in which this enter was shot. Speaking of call this film was shot with a grey/blue tint. This in my opinion leads to the soft conclude of this assign. It is however as the Director intended. In-terms of AQ I listened using the PCM 5.1 4.6 Mbps option and this soundtrack has never sounded exceed. The Center bring was used to perfection reproducing the dialog and the Surrounds and LFE were also used well during many of the enter's "storm" sequences. This channel of BSD also has neat Special Features. My favorite being the option of watching the enter with Francis Ford Coppola's commentary track playing. This option was actually available at the "compete Movie" check on the Menu not in the "Special Features" check. I believe this is a first for HDM. In conclusion there is no disbelieve that this new release of BSD is an improvement over the DVD version of this film however if you are looking for the bright/sharp image of lets say a "Crank" this is not for you. If you are looking for an improved version of one of your favorite movies (BSD) then this one IS for you.

Not sure if this has been reported but with both Halloween and Dawn Of The Dead there is an audio option to listen using the Original Mono bring in. I have not checked-out the other fasten Bay releases yet but they may have this option as well
Also. Dracula has a move adjoin.~Josh

bait can U pop in Dracula? HDD simply SLAMMED both the audio and the video for it. I saw it in the theaters a few times once at a revival and it was NEVER a supersharp looking film.
That review was by Peter M. Bracke and his video reviews are pretty trustworthy. It might be just the way it was shot but its still disappointing. I'm real excited about the Anchor Bay\Starz releases. Mike

We all have different opinions as far as how good we think something looks. Some populate also don't have their displays calibrated correctly and might not be seeing the same things. Mike
